Peachy Keen Challenge 41 :: 3-D :: Wall Art

  So I decided to experiment with stamping on a crackled wood plaque for a challenge. I really thought this little bumpkin girl would be super cute so I went for it. I painted, crackled and then painted again my little wood plaque. I then stamped the little bumpkin girl Madisyn and colored her in with my copics. Sometimes things look better in your mind.
So...mistake number one - Should have stamped her using Stazon and not Memento. The Tuxedo Black ink came out kind of a grey color on the paint and smeared when I used Mod Podge to seal everything.
Mistake number two - Should have just used acrylic paint to color her in. You can forget any kind of blending on painted wood :(
All in all Madisyn herself is a cutie so I'm going to enter her into the Peachy Keen Stamps challenge anyway.

Here she is!

Enjoy!
Sorry for the super bad picture.

  3. Don't be so critical! I think the girl looks good! The things you think look bad, I think go with that weathered/crackled look! I agree (even before reading the above comment that it makes it look vintage!
